Gunda Movie Review

Gunda a blockbuster hit of Indian Cinema released in the year 1998. The masterpiece named Gunda was an action thriller written by Bashir Babbar On the other hand Kanti Shah took the responsibility of its direction.

In Gunda Mithun Chakraborty, Shashi Kapoor and Mukesh Rishi played the lead roles, Anil Shah priced this venture and the music of the film was composed by Anand Raj Anand. The plot idea of Gunda is based on a coolie who vows to get revenge from a crime lord and his squad after they kill his loving people.

The releasing date of Gunda 4 September 1998. There is no doubt that Gunda is considered to be a cult production. The respective gem of Hindi Cinema raised the bar of competition by selling over 5,000 VCD copies at a single store. It also achieved the benchmark of re-release in 2018.

Deepak Shrike who performed the character of politician Bachubhai confronted that the entire film was shot without any kind of script. Keeping the charm of Indian movie Gunda is still existing as a marvelous creation in the background of Bollywood.

Associated Controversy

It’s hard to believe but true that Gunda gets banned before by the Central Board of Film Certification due to a report which was lodged, college girls. They specified that this film is putting ahead the issues of vulgarity and obscenity. Later, by the concerned actions, the Central Board of Film Certification passed this film with an A certificate. Apart from that Central Board of Film Certification also announced that the prior released version was the unedited copy of this film. The edited copy of Gunda took the right place in all theatres instantly after the decision of CBFC.
